Ntsiks Football Stars senior team bow out of BSA Cup after penalty shootout
Ntsiks Football Stars visited Amen Foundation for a highly competitive BSA Cup encounter that produced an exciting and hard-fought contest.
From the opening whistle, both teams showed determination and fought for control of the game. The match was closely contested, with both sides creating opportunities but struggling to find the back of the net. Ntsiks Football Stars had a notable opportunity when Bufelo found himself one-on-one with the opposition goalkeeper, but unfortunately could not convert the chance. Lisakanya Kakaza showed a great composure at the back throughout the game and came as a outstanding Ntsiks Football Stars player.
Despite the efforts from both teams, neither side managed to break the deadlock, and the match ended 0–0 after regulation time.
The game went straight into a penalty shootout, which eventually progressed to sudden death. Ntsiks Football Stars' goalkeeper Anelisa Goci demonstrated great composure and ability under pressure, making a crucial penalty save and also confidently converting a penalty himself.
However, football can be unforgiving, and despite the team's efforts, Ntsiks Football Stars ultimately lost the shootout 5–4, bringing their BSA Cup journey to an end.
Although the result was disappointing, the team can take encouragement from the competitive performance and fighting spirit displayed throughout the game. The players remain united and focused, with the squad now turning its attention to the league campaign.
The BSA Cup may be over for Ntsiks Football Stars, but the season continues. The team is intact, the spirit remains strong, and the boys are ready to fight for better results in the league.

Positive signs for Ntsiks Football Stars in pre-season friendly against Anzac Dolphins Academy
Ntsiks Football Stars Senior Team kicked off their preseason preparations with a challenging fixture against Anzac Dolphins Academy. Despite a determined performance, Ntsiks Football Stars suffered a 2–0 defeat after conceding both goals before halftime.
The team appeared to be in the early stages of finding their rhythm, allowing Anzac Dolphins Academy to capitalize on their opportunities during the first half. After the break, Ntsiks Football Stars showed great determination and improved significantly, working tirelessly to reduce the deficit. However, despite creating several attacking opportunities, they were unable to find the back of the net.
One of the standout performers for Ntsiks Football Stars was team captain Kholosani, who led by example throughout the match. His commitment, leadership, and work rate were evident from start to finish as he inspired his teammates despite the difficult result.
The match also provided an opportunity for the coaching staff to assess several new players who are currently being evaluated ahead of the upcoming season. Goalkeeper Sikelela made his debut appearance but was unfortunately forced off before halftime after sustaining an injury. Another new player, Siyabonga, also featured and showed encouraging signs during his time on the field.
The game was overshadowed by injuries, with Ntsiks Football Stars losing three players during the encounter. In addition to Sikelela's injury, Lumanyano had to be substituted after a heavy tackle, while Wandre also suffered an injury that prevented him from completing the match.
Although the result did not go in Ntsiks Football Stars' favour, the preseason fixture served its purpose by allowing the technical team to evaluate players, build match fitness, and identify areas that require improvement before the competitive season begins
